I dream of Peter

We walked hand in hand, our fingers intertwined around the forest, under cover of the trees from the bright midday sun, with the rest of them following us. Then, as I walked past a tree in the shape of a mushroom, something caught my eye. I stopped up short and everyone but peter bumped into me. They moved away and I stepped back and stepped forward again, and this time, I saw it. It gleamed. I didn’t really know what it was, so I moved closer and saw that it was a window. The sun had hit the window in a way that made its reflection so bright that I had to lift my hands to shield my eyes. 2302101018 I feel like a prisoner in my own home. I went outside to sweep the porch and realized my brother wasn’t home and I could’ve gone out and got some blue. And then I remembered what they did to me. I knew I was being spoilt and ungrateful but hell, I’ve never allowed myself to feel any true emotion until recently. And now, still I am bound by my own learnt “civilizations”. They made me fear my own mind and hate myself and become the person I am today. Part of me is grateful that they did it to me, or else I might’ve ended up as stupid as the rest of them.
